Almond Crescent Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup almonds, ground
2 1/2 cup AP flour
1/2 vanilla bean scraped or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tsp almond extract
Powdered sugar and cardamom for coating.
Cream sugar and butter until light in color and fluffy in texture. Add almond flour, AP flour, vanilla and almond extract add nuts mix until crumbly dough forms.
press three tablespoons of dough into a ball shape into crescent form bake on parchment paper.
325 degrees 13 minutes, until just golden do not brown.
Dust with powdered sugar that you've sifted together with some cardamom while still warm. Place on rack to cool.
Will stay fresh up to 3 weeks in an airtight container.
